Whispers of God

June Newsletter

Theme: Let Go and Let God

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)

Welcome

Welcome to the June edition of Whispers of God!

As summer begins, many of us carry burdens that have weighed heavily on our hearts—uncertainty, disappointment, unanswered prayers, or circumstances beyond our control. This month, God gently reminds us that we were never created to carry every burden alone. He invites us to release our worries into His capable hands.

The phrase “Let Go and Let God” is more than an encouraging saying; it is a biblical invitation to trust God’s wisdom, timing, and unfailing love. When we surrender control, we make room for His peace, His direction, and His perfect will to unfold in our lives.

May this month’s reflections encourage you to loosen your grip on fear and strengthen your hold on faith.

Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day to every father, grandfather, stepfather, mentor, spiritual father, and father figure.

Today we honor the men who have faithfully led, protected, encouraged, and prayed over their families and communities. Your sacrifices often go unnoticed, but they are seen by our Heavenly Father.

May God continue to grant you wisdom, strength, patience, and courage as you lead with integrity and love.

“The righteous lead blameless lives; blessed are their children after them.”
— Proverbs 20:7 (NIV)

We also celebrate our Heavenly Father, whose love never fails and whose presence never leaves us.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!”
— 1 John 3:1 (NIV)

Happy Father’s Day! May the Lord richly bless you today and always.

Monthly Reflection

Let Go and Let God

Life often teaches us to hold tightly—to plans, expectations, relationships, finances, careers, and even our fears. Yet Scripture continually reminds us that peace comes not through control but through surrender.

Letting go does not mean giving up. It means placing our confidence in God’s faithfulness instead of our own understanding.

Sometimes we hold on because we cannot see what God is doing. Yet even when His plans are hidden, His purpose is never absent.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV)

God never asks us to understand everything. He simply asks us to trust Him.

When we surrender:

  • Fear is replaced by faith.
  • Worry gives way to peace.
  • Anxiety becomes prayer.
  • Our timeline yields to God’s perfect timing.

The Lord is faithful to carry what we cannot.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

Weekly Devotional Snapshots

Week One

Release the Burden

Many burdens become lighter the moment we place them before God. Instead of rehearsing every problem, begin rehearsing God’s promises.

“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you.”
— Psalm 55:22 (NIV)

Reflection:
What burden have you been carrying that God is asking you to surrender today?

Week Two

Trust God’s Timing

Waiting is rarely easy, but God’s delays are never His denials. While we wait, He is preparing us for what lies ahead.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)

Reflection:
Where might God be asking you to trust His timing instead of rushing ahead?

Week Three

Peace Beyond Understanding

God’s peace is not based on perfect circumstances. It is rooted in His constant presence.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God… will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:6–7 (NIV)

Reflection:
Replace one worry today with one prayer.

Week Four

Walk by Faith

Faith often means taking one obedient step without seeing the entire path. God’s guidance becomes clearer as we continue walking with Him.

“For we live by faith, not by sight.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)

Reflection:
What next step of faith is God inviting you to take?

Prayer for June

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for reminding us that we do not have to carry every burden alone. Teach us to release our fears, disappointments, and uncertainties into Your loving hands. Strengthen our faith when life feels overwhelming and fill our hearts with Your perfect peace.

Bless every father and father figure this month. Encourage them with wisdom, patience, courage, and unwavering faith as they lead those entrusted to their care. May they continually seek You as their source of strength.

Help us trust Your plans even when we cannot understand them. Teach us to let go of control and fully embrace Your perfect will. May our lives reflect confidence in Your promises and gratitude for Your faithfulness.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

June Encouragement

Sometimes God’s greatest miracle isn’t changing your circumstances immediately—it is changing your heart while you wait.

Release what you cannot control.

Trust the One who controls all things.

Walk in faith.

Rest in His promises.

And remember:

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
— Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)

Have a blessed June!
