Today’s Weekly Devotional

Hello Beautiful Souls,

This week, our hearts turn toward the timeless parables of Jesus Christ. Parables are short, simple stories—but they carry deep oceans of truth. The very word parable in Greek means “to place alongside,” reminding us that Jesus used these stories to set heavenly wisdom beside everyday life. In Hebrew, the word points to a “proverb,” “simile,” or “saying”—something familiar that leads us into something divine.

Jesus used parables to reach the hearts of His disciples and every person who crossed His path. And the beautiful thing is this: His parables still speak today. They are as powerful now as they were centuries ago, revealing truth, inviting us closer, and helping us see what our hearts may have overlooked.

As we meditate on this passage, let us ask the Holy Spirit to show us the condition of our hearts, to break up any hardened places, to clear out what distracts or chokes the Word, and to help us receive God’s truth with readiness and joy.

May this week be filled with revelation, transformation, and a deeper hunger for God’s Word.

Love you all dearly,
—Arkeshia
